OK – Here’s the deal. I already have a blog and it is pretty decent. But, I really wanted to avoid politics in it, because my intention behind it was to communicate to the world and to my family and friends. Without having to inundate them with the chaos that is the American political process. Alas, after a month, I can no longer refrain. So – here goes. . .

Today was the West Virginia primary. Hillary won. Big fucking deal. She will not be the Democrat’s nominee and every semi-intelligent person in this country (and abroad) knows that. It seems the only people that don’t are the members of the Clinton Machine. And, frankly, I find that unfortunate. I used to really like the Clinton’s. I damn near idolized Bill during his presidency. But, the more Hillary yaps, the worse it gets. It is about to the point where I change the channel when I hear her start talking.

This is from the AP: “[West Virginia] is 95 percent white, has no urban core and counts among its residents some of the poorest and least educated of any state. . .” How’s that for a voting base? Who votes for Hillary? Po’ white folk. Oh, excuse me – that may be considered inaccurate – let me correct it. Po’, UNEDUCATED white folk. That’s better.

Why is it people in this country are afraid of intelligence? I will never understand it. George W. Bush for two terms for Christ’s sake. Blows my mind. Now, was John Kerry any better last time around? Who knows – but he would have been a hell of a lot better than what we have. Gimme a fucking break. Maybe I am being unfair – After all, it is not just po’ white folk vote for Hillary. (Po’ Hispanics do, too. . .) I know, I’m mean. Now listen – the demographic of Barack Obama voters – Upper class, college educated, successful minorities and whites. Hmmmm? Which flock would I rather follow? Sorry, Hill. My vote is going to the Senator from Illinois.

OK – now to the reality. This is a caricature of the political climate. It is an exaggeration, but it is rooted in truth. Hillary can not possible win the nomination, so I really do think she should bow out gracefully while she still can.

On a final note, I am predicting Obama wins the Democratic nomination, picks Tom Daschle as his running mate, and they beat McCain and some other rich white dude for the White House in November.
